Milly’s Story

We have a baby girl with reflux (Milly is 6 months). We’ve had a hard time with reflux. Milly’s vomiting has been helped a little with infant gaviscon, but obviously it doesn’t eliminate it. We’re at the weaning on to solids stage now and the vomiting has become really really bad! She has too strong a gag reflex to cope. Milly is our 4th child and we’d not known reflux before this (although with hindsight our 3rd child had silent reflux but we never worked out what was wrong with him).

I’m barely managing to breastfeed Milly, as she is a 1-minute feeder (causing endless supply problems) but I’ve hung on because of the fear about reflux getting worse on formula. I’m tired and neglecting our other 3 from Milly’s feeding issues and am going to try Cow & Gate Comfort, as I’ve heard this was good from another mum. The amount brought back up seems to be better most days than it used to be (except where solids are involved) I never knew how good I’d got things with our first 3 babies!
