Over the last few years babyREFLUX have been striving to provide the best advice and positional aids for babies that experience the curse of reflux.
One question that we get asked time and time again is “Should we try homoeopathic treatments to help with reflux?…”
A 2010 House of Commons Science and Technology Committee report on homeopathy said that homeopathic remedies perform no better than placebos, and that the principles on which homeopathy is based are ‘scientifically implausible’. This is also the view of the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies.
There is no good quality evidence that homeopathy is an effective treatment for any health condition.
The National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) advises the NHS on proper use of treatments. NICE currently does not recommend that homeopathy should be used in the treatment of any health condition.
